IPA has worked on liberalised power markets for over 25 years. We have extensive global experience in the creation and operation of wholesale and retail power markets and of the regulation of the transmission and distribution networks on which they operate.
IPA has experience of numerous international gas and LNG projects providing bespoke insight and honest appraisal of project developments and transactions. IPA primarily focuses on midstream and downstream advisory services, for example from wellhead to market solutions, infrastructure (LNG and pipelines) projects, new market entry (floating storage and regasification units (FSRUs)), integrated gas monetisation (power, fertilizer, petrochemicals, gas-to-liquid (GTL) and fuels).
IPA has developed particular expertise in district energy, covering both district cooling and district heating. This expertise has been focused on advising governments and national sector regulators on the development of policy and the creation of a regulatory framework which not only facilitates the development of the sector but also encourages the expansion of district energy service provision.
IPA has helped government entities develop water and wastewater sector policy, generating strategies aimed at maximising the achievement of overall government policy objectives. At the same time, our experts have helped create the regulatory frameworks required to encourage improvements in the provision of water and wastewater services and, if appropriate, facilitate private sector participation in the sector.
